Margret England was born on 9 August 1812 at North Carolina. According to Ethelene Dyer Jones, Margret was raised as an England. It is possible that her parents were not married..2,3 She was the daughter of John Good and Jane England.3
Margret England married Willis Twiggs, son of Timothy Twiggs and Joicy Willis, circa 1834 at Habersham County, Georgia.3
On 25 October 1850 Margret England was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Margaret Twigs, 38 years old, birthplace of North Carolina. Could not read or write. Also enumerated in the household were Mary Louise Twiggs, Elizabeth Jane Twiggs, Margaret Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.2
On 30 June 1860 Margret England was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1860 U. S. census for Choestoe Post Office, Union County, Georgia as Margaret E Twiggs, 48 years old, birthplace of North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Jane Twiggs, Margaret Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.4
On 18 June 1870 Margret England was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1870 U. S. census for Blairsville Post Office, Subdivision 126, Union County, Georgia as Margaret Twiggs, 59 years old, birthplace of North Carolina, occupation of Keeping House. Also enumerated in the household were John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.5
