Margaret Twiggs was born circa 1839 at Union County, Georgia.1 She was the daughter of Willis Twiggs and Margret England.1,2
On 25 October 1850 Margaret Twiggs was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Margaret Twigs, 11 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Margret England, Mary Louise Twiggs, Elizabeth Jane Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.1
On 30 June 1860 Margaret Twiggs was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1860 U. S. census for Choestoe Post Office, Union County, Georgia as Margaret Twiggs, 19 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Margret England, Elizabeth Jane Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.3
