Elizabeth Jane Twiggs was born on 28 March 1837 at Union County, Georgia.2,3 She was the daughter of Willis Twiggs and Margret England.2,3
On 25 October 1850 Elizabeth Jane Twiggs was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Elizabeth Twigs, 13 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Margret England, Mary Louise Twiggs, Margaret Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.1
On 30 June 1860 Elizabeth Jane Twiggs was enumerated in the household of Willis Twiggs on the 1860 U. S. census for Choestoe Post Office, Union County, Georgia as Elizabeth Twiggs, 22 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Margret England, Margaret Twiggs, Joice Minerva Ann Twiggs, John Wesley Twiggs and Harvy Alonzo Twiggs.4
Elizabeth Jane Twiggs married William C Hicks on 4 November 1866 at Union County, Georgia.5,2
Elizabeth Jane Twiggs died on 20 June 1920 at Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia, at age 83.3
