Mary Lousia Thurston was born on 6 August 1839 at Ohio.1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Thurston and Charlotte Loofborrow.1

S. census for Delaware Town, Delaware County, Ohio as Mary L Thurston, 11 years old, birthplace of Ohio. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Charlotte Loofborrow, Alfred Lorain Thurston, Frances Maria Thurston, John Loofborrow Thurston, Elmore Monroe Thurston, Jerusha Ann Thurston, Lucretia Cornella Thurston and Joanna Adelpha Thurston.2
