     Mary Twiggs was also known as Mary Frances.2 She was born circa 1878 at Georgia.1 She was the daughter of John Wesley Twiggs and Sarah Elizabeth Hughes.1 Mary Twiggs was born in 1879.2

On 14 June 1880 Mary Twiggs was enumerated in the household of John Wesley Twiggs on the 1880 U. S. census for Choestoe District (834), Union County, Georgia as Mary Twigs, 2 years old, Daughter, Single, birthplace of Georgia. Father born in Georgia. Mother born in Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Sarah Elizabeth Hughes, Edwin P. Twiggs, Nan E Twiggs, Callie Twiggs, L. M. Twiggs and William Frady.1

Mary Twiggs was at an unknown age years old, when her mother, Sarah Elizabeth Hughes, died on 2 June 1885.3,4

Mary Twiggs married Newton Nix, son of Thomas J Nix and Martha J Ballew.5

On 18 June 1900 Mary Twiggs was enumerated in the household of John Wesley Twiggs on the 1900 U. S. census for Choestoe District, Union County, Georgia as Mary H Twiggs, 22 years old, Daughter, single, Born Mar 1878 in Georgia. Father born in Georgia. Mother born in Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Georgia Elizabeth Westmoreland, Callie Twiggs, L. M. Twiggs, Nell Twiggs, Walter M. Twiggs and Eugene Twiggs.6

Mary Twiggs died on 3 May 1952 at Greeley, Weld County, Colorado.2

Mary Twiggs was buried at Eaton Cemetery, Eaton, Weld County, Colorado.2
