     Newton Nix was also known as Newt.2 Newton Nix was also known as Milford Newton.2 He was born in January 1881 at Georgia. Month maybe Jun on 1900 census.3 He was the son of Thomas J Nix and Martha J Ballew.1

On 11 June 1900 Newton Nix was enumerated in the household of James Monroe Collins on the 1900 U. S. census for Precinct #13 Outside of Town of Eaton, Weld County, Colorado as Newton Nix, 19 years old, Servant, single, Born Jun 1881 in Georgia, occupation of Farm Laborer, 0 Months Unemployed, Could read, Could write, Could speak English. Father born in Georgia. Mother born in Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Nan E Twiggs, Bruce Harrison Collins, Myrtle May Collins, Edwin P. Twiggs, Amicus Miller, Mary E (?), Lois I Twiggs and Otis Twiggs.3

Newton Nix married Mary Twiggs, daughter of John Wesley Twiggs and Sarah Elizabeth Hughes.1

Newton Nix died on 6 February 1965 at Greeley, Weld County, Colorado, at age 84.2

Newton Nix was buried at Eaton Cemetery, Eaton, Weld County, Colorado.2
