Francis Collins also went by the name of Frank.1 He was born on 28 December 1816 at Buncombe County, North Carolina.1,2 He was the son of Thompson Collins and Celia Self.3
A Marriage License was granted to Francis Collins and Rutha Nix on 6 January 1841 at Union County, Georgia.4
Francis Collins married Rutha Nix, daughter of William Nix and Susannah Stonecypher, on 7 January 1841 at Union County, Georgia. Aydelotte in her Collins descendants book gives the license date as the marriage date.4,1
