Adam Gerhart1

     Adam Gerhart was born circa 1826 at Germany.1 He was the son of Adam Gerhart and Sophia Zimmer.1

Adam Gerhart traveled with Adam Gerhart from Germany in 1834; sailed from Le Havre, France on 4 July 1834; arrived in New York City in August 1834; and settled in Salem Township, Washington County, Ohio Also traveling together were Sophia Zimmer, Jacob Gerhart, Margaret Gerhart and Daniel Gerhart.2

On 4 September 1850 Adam Gerhart was enumerated in the household of Adam Gerhart on the 1850 U. S. census for District No 137 Salem Township, Washington County, Ohio as Adam Gerhart, 24 years old, birthplace of Germany, occupation of Farmer. Also enumerated in the household were Sophia Zimmer, Charlie Gerhart, Caroline Gerhart and Elizabeth Gerhart.1

Adam Gerhart died on 29 October 1850 at Washington County, Ohio.3,4
