Louisa Hughes was born circa 1834.1 She was the daughter of Thomas M Hughes and Nancy A Bird.1
On 3 September 1850 Louisa Hughes was enumerated in the household of Thomas M Hughes on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Louisa Hughs, 16 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Nancy A Bird, William C. Hughes, Francis Hughes, Eleanor C Hughes, Jane Hughes, Rosetta Hughes, Thomas Hughes, Sarah Elizabeth Hughes and John Hughes.1
