     Elvira Cook was born circa 1838.1 She was the daughter of Jonathan Cook and Rebecca Jackson.1

On 28 October 1850 Elvira Cook was enumerated in the household of Jonathan Cook on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Elvira Cook, 12 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Rebecca Jackson, Nancy E. Cook, John Kimsey Cook and Susan Jane Cook.1

On 27 June 1860 Elvira Cook was enumerated in the household of Jonathan Cook on the 1860 U. S. census for Blairsville Ga Post Office, Union County, Georgia as Nettie C Cook, 20 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Rebecca Jackson, Nancy E. Cook, John Kimsey Cook, Susan Jane Cook and William W Cook.2
