     Aaron Hezekiah Barrett also went by the name of Hezee. He was born on 3 October 1851 at Georgia.1 He was the son of George W Barrett and Nancy Green Treadaway.2,1,3

On 3 July 1860 Aaron Hezekiah Barrett was enumerated in the household of George W Barrett on the 1860 U. S. census for Elyton Post Office, Woods Precinct, Jefferson County, Alabama as Hezekiah Barret, 9 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Nancy Green Treadaway, Sarah Anne Barrett, Emiline Barrett, John Barrett, Martha Barrett, George W Barrett, Benjamin Barrett, David Barrett and Durel F Barrett.2

Aaron Hezekiah Barrett married Elizabeth Lee, daughter of William Singleton Lee and Nellie Hall Dennis, on 12 July 1871 Married 28 yrs on the 1900 Census taken on 1 June 1900.1,3

Precinct No. 4, Uvalde County, Texas as Hesse Barrett, 28 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Teamster. Could not read. Could not write. Father born in North Carolina. Mother born in North Carolina.. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Lee, George Barrett, Nellie G Barrett, Aaron Hezekiah Barrett, Martha Ella Barrett and Martha Lee.4

1882 Aaron Hezekiah Barrett was recorded as A H Barrett in the Assessment Book of Lincoln County, New Mexico Territory. His property was assessed with a total value of $562.50. His personal property was valued at $562.50, his real property was valued at $0. He owed: $1.00 poll tax.5

1883 Aaron Hezekiah Barrett was recorded as A H Barrett in the Assessment Book of Lincoln County, New Mexico Territory. His property was assessed with a total value of $600.50. His personal property was valued at $600.50, his real property was valued at $0. He owed: $1.00 poll tax, $1.70 territorial tax, $0.875 county tax, $0.875 school tax.6

A $300 exemption was applied giving a taxable valuation of $1470. His personal property was valued at $1770, his real property was valued at $500. He owed: $1.00 poll tax, $7.35 territorial tax, $3.68 county tax, $4.41 school tax as well as an additional $4.84 to pay off bonds for a total of $21.28. The $500 real estate was recorded in the improvements column and was not counted in the total valuation.9

1888 Aaron Hezekiah Barrett was recorded as A H Barrett in the Assessment Book of Lincoln County, New Mexico Territory. His property was assessed with a total value of $2375. A $300 exemption was applied giving a taxable valuation of $2075. His personal property was valued at $2275 which included 37 horses valued at $575 and 160 cattle valued at $1600, his real property was valued at $100 recorded as improvements. He owed: $|10.38 poll tax, $5.19 territorial tax, $6.23 county tax, $as well as an additional $20.45 to pay off bonds, other taxes, and a $8.45 penalty for a total of $42.25 school tax.10

Could read. Could write. Owned a Farm which was Free and Clear. Father born in North Carolina. Mother born in North Carolina.. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Lee, Aaron Hezekiah Barrett, Claira E Barrett, Ara R Barrett, Claude S Canton and Nellie Hall Dennis.20

Could speak English. Owner of dwelling which was Free and Clear. Father born in North Carolina. Mother born in South Carolina.. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Lee, Claira E Barrett and Claude S Canton.21

Aaron Hezekiah Barrett died on 13 March 1925 at Walsh, Baca County, Colorado, at age 73.1,22,23

Aaron Hezekiah Barrett was buried at Minneapolis Cemetery, Section 27, Township 29S, Range 43W, Baca County, Colorado.22,23
