     Benjamin Barrett was born circa 1853 at Georgia.1 He was the son of George W Barrett and Nancy Green Treadaway.1

On 3 July 1860 Benjamin Barrett was enumerated in the household of George W Barrett on the 1860 U. S. census for Elyton Post Office, Woods Precinct, Jefferson County, Alabama as Benjamin Barret, 7 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Nancy Green Treadaway, Sarah Anne Barrett, Emiline Barrett, John Barrett, Martha Barrett, George W Barrett, Aaron Hezekiah Barrett, David Barrett and Durel F Barrett.1

On 17 August 1870 Benjamin Barrett was enumerated in the household of George W Barrett on the 1870 U. S. census for Eldridge Post Office, Township 15, Walker County, Alabama as Benjamin Barrett, 15 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Work on farm. Also enumerated in the household were Nancy Green Treadaway, David Barrett, Daniel Barrett, Ophelia Barrett and Leaborn M Barrett.2

Benjamin Barrett married Charsey Barrett.3

Benjamin Barrett was enumerated on 15 June 1880 as head of household on the 1880 U. S. census for Townships 12 & 13 R 7 West (Beats 1 & 2), Walker County, Alabama as Benjamin Barrett, 26 years old, Married, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Farmer. Could not read. Could not write. Father born in Georgia. Mother born in North Carolina.. Also enumerated in the household were Charsey Barrett.3
