     Robert Schuler was born on 23 July 1791 at Washington Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. Robert Schuler's gravemarker clearly shows a birthdate of July 23 1791. His age 56 years, 10 months, and 9 days at his death on June 8 1848 would indicate a birthdate of July 30 1791.2,3 He was the son of Henry Schuler and Elizabeth (?).4

Robert Schuler married Elizabeth Rantz, daughter of John Philip Rantz and Elizabeth Knorr, on 2 July 1816 at Washington Twp, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3

Robert Schuler was enumerated during 1820 on the 1820 U. S. census for Washington, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania as head of family Robert Shuler. Enumerated in this family were: 2 Free white males to 10 years old, 1 Free white males 26 to 45 years old, 1 Free white females to 10 years old, 1 Free white females 16 to 26 years old, 1 Number engaged in Agriculture.5

Robert Schuler was enumerated during 1830 on the 1830 U. S. census for Washington Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania as head of family Robert Shuller. Robert Schuler on 2 September 1839 recieved a U.S land patent for property located in Wabash County, Indiana from the land office at La Port, Indiana. The land was described as the NW quarter of Section 24, Township 29 N, Range 5 E, 2nd Principal Meridian, 160 Acres.7

Robert Schuler died on 8 June 1848 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 56. While he was on a visit.9

Robert Schuler was buried at St. John's Lutheran (Brick Church) Cemetery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, FG GE GM .10,9
