     John Schuler was born on 19 December 1832 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Robert Schuler and Elizabeth Rantz.1

John Schuler was 15 years old, when his father, Robert Schuler, died on 8 June 1848 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. While he was on a visit.3

On 1 October 1850 John Schuler was enumerated in the household of Elizabeth Rantz on the 1850 U. S. census for Pleasant township, Wabash County, Indiana as Margaret Schuler, 19 years old, birthplace of Pennsylvania. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Mary Schuler, Elizabeth Schuler, Henry Schuler, Samuel Schuler, Margaret Schuler, Jacob Schuler and Nancy Schuler.4

On 18 June 1860 John Schuler was enumerated in the household of Elizabeth Rantz on the 1860 U. S. census for Pleasant Township, Wabash County, Indiana as John Shuler, 27 years old, birthplace of Pennsylvania, occupation of Farmer, value of personal property $521. Also enumerated in the household were Mary Schuler, Jacob Schuler, Nancy Schuler and Samuel Black.5

John Schuler married Rebecca Jane White on 21 February 1861 at Wabash County, Indiana.6

John Schuler died after 1880 at Wabash County, Indiana.1

John Schuler died in 1928 at Wabash County, Indiana.2

John Schuler was buried at IOOF Cemetery, Wabash County, Indiana.2
