Ruth B Knapp was born circa 1774 at Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut. The Ancestal File gives a 1770 date of birth. However John Knapp's probate file list Ruth as younger than Chloe. The records of Meetings of the Congregational Church of New Fairfield, Connecticut give Chloe being baptized in 1770. So I have switched the Ancestal File birth years for Chloe and Ruth.2,3,4 She was the daughter of John Knapp and Ruth Gregory.4,5,6
