     Daniel Greene Thurston was born on 20 December 1771 at Rhode Island. On the 1880 Census Joseph Thurston stated that his father was born in Rhode Island.2,3 He was the son of Norton Thurston and Ann Greene.4

Daniel Greene Thurston married Fanny Thayer, daughter of Joseph Thayer and Sarah Brown, on 19 March 1797 at Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts. Phillip Slead an Elder of a Baptist Church in Swansea officiated.5,6,1

Daniel Greene Thurston was enumerated during 1800 on the 1800 U. S. census for Town of Easton, Washington County, New York as head of family Daniel G Thusten. Enumerated in this family were: 2 Free white males 26 thru 44 years old, 1 Free white males 45 years old and over, 2 Free white females under 10 years old, 1 Free white females 16 thru 25 years old, 1 Free white females 45 years old and over.7
