Lucy Johnson was born circa 1840 at Indiana.1 She was the daughter of William Johnson and Hannah Schuler.1
On 7 August 1850 Lucy Johnson was enumerated in the household of Thomas Black on the 1850 U. S. census for Peru Township, Miami County, Indiana as Lucy Johnson, 10 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Hannah Schuler, John Black, Palmer Adsit Black, James Black, Morton S Black, Asa Black, William Black, Mary Ann Black, Schuler Black, Scudder Black and Emeline Johnson.1
