William Carr Nix was born on 11 May 1831 at Habersham County, Georgia.1 He was the son of William Nix and Susannah Stonecypher.1,2
On 29 October 1850 William Carr Nix was enumerated in the household of William Nix on the 1850 U. S. census for District 7, Habersham County, Georgia as W C Nix, 19 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Farmer. Also enumerated in the household were Susannah Stonecypher, Fannie Farlene Nix, Malinda Nix and A J Sutton.3
