Malinda Nix was born circa 1829 at Habersham County, Georgia.1 She was the daughter of William Nix and Susannah Stonecypher.1,2
On 29 October 1850 Malinda Nix was enumerated in the household of William Nix on the 1850 U. S. census for District 7, Habersham County, Georgia as M Nix, 21 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Susannah Stonecypher, Fannie Farlene Nix, William Carr Nix and A J Sutton.3
