     Mary Nix also went by the name of Polly.2 She was born circa 1818 at Georgia.1,2 She was the daughter of William Nix and Susannah Stonecypher.1,2,3

Mary Nix married Archibald Collins, son of Thompson Collins and Celia Self, on 3 January 1838.1

On 21 October 1850 Mary Nix was enumerated in the household of Archibald Collins on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Mary Collins, 28 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Caroline Collins, William Collins, James N Collins, Ivan Carr Collins, Celia Emiline Collins, John Pruitt Collins, Sarah Malinda Collins and Thomas F Collins.4
