     Nancy Collins was born on 13 February 1829 at Habersham County, Georgia.1 She was the daughter of Thompson Collins and Celia Self.1

On 21 October 1850 Nancy Collins was enumerated in the household of Thompson Collins on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Nancy Collins, 20 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Also enumerated in the household were Celia Self, Olive Collins, Ivan Kimsey Collins and Robert MCay.2

Nancy Collins married John Combs Hayes Souther on 12 February 1852 at Union County, Georgia.3
