Robert MCay was also known as Bob McCoy.2 He was born circa 1826 at Georgia.1
On 21 October 1850 Robert MCay was enumerated in the household of Thompson Collins on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Robert McCay, 24 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Farmer. Also enumerated in the household were Celia Self, Nancy Collins, Olive Collins and Ivan Kimsey Collins.1
Robert MCay married Olive Collins, daughter of Thompson Collins and Celia Self, circa 1852.2
