Nancy Courtney married Benjamin Biggerstaff, son of Thomas Biggerstaff and Nancy Uncel, on 1 May 1834 by Elijah Kirkwood M. G. at Christian County, Kentucky.3

S. census for Macoupin County, Illinois as Nancy Bigerstaff, 36 years old, birthplace of Kentucky. Could not read or write Also enumerated in the household were Nancy A Biggerstaff, Elizabeth Biggerstaff, William Biggerstaff, Mary Biggerstaff, James Biggerstaff, Sarah Ella Biggerstaff and John T Biggerstaff.1
