Mary Barnett was born on 12 March 1818 at Warren County, Tennessee.1 She was born on 17 March 1818.2
Mary Barnett married Jonathan Dennis, son of Joseph Dennis and Ann Nancy Bybee, between 1843 and 1845.1
On 21 September 1850 Mary Barnett was enumerated in the household of Jonathan Dennis on the 1850 U. S. census for District No 37, Hickory County, Missouri as Mary Dennis, 42 years old, birthplace of Tennessee. Could not read or write. Also enumerated in the household were Elcana Blevins Dennis, Barnett H Dennis, Nellie Hall Dennis, William Nathan Dennis, Elizabeth Dennis, Hilley Dennis and Edde Dennis.3
Mary Barnett died on 31 May 1898 at age 80.2
Mary Barnett was buried at Dennis Cemetery, Moran, Shackelford County, Texas.2
