     Riley R Lee was born on 18 November 1856 at Howell County, Missouri.1 He was the son of William Singleton Lee and Nellie Hall Dennis.1

On 2 June 1860 Riley R Lee was enumerated in the household of William Singleton Lee on the 1860 U. S. census for Collin County, Texas as Riley Lee, 3 years old, birthplace of Missour Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Elizabeth Lee and Winnie Ann Lee.2

28 June 1885 Riley R Lee was enumerated with William Singleton Lee on the 1885 New Mexico Territory census for Organ, Dona Ana County as R. Lee, Son, Single, 28 years old, birthplace of Missouri, occupation of Cowboy. Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Mollie Emily Lee, John Dennis Lee, William Singleton Lee Jr., Barnett Hall Lee, Nellie Jolethea Lee and Lillian R. Lee.3
