     Martha A Cook was born in 1860 at Georgia.1 She was the daughter of Jonathan Cook and Rebecca Jackson.1

On 15 June 1870 Martha A Cook was enumerated in the household of Jonathan Cook on the 1870 U. S. census for Blairsville Post Office, Subdivision 126, Union County, Georgia as Martha A Cook, 10 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of At Home. Could not read. Could not write. Also enumerated in the household were Rebecca Jackson and William W Cook.1

On 7 June 1880 Martha A Cook was enumerated in the household of Jonathan Cook on the 1880 U. S. census for Arkaqua Distict (996), Union County, Georgia as Martha Cook, 19 years old, Daughter, Single, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of At Home. Could not read. Could not write. Father born in North Carolina. Mother born in North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household were Rebecca Jackson.2
