     Amos Hill married Elizabeth Stonecypher, daughter of John Stonecypher and Nancy Curtis, on 28 January 1843 at Rabun County, Georgia.1

Amos Hill was enumerated on 1 September 1850 as head of household on the 1850 U. S. census for Militia District 509, Rabun County, Georgia as Amos Hill, 75 years old, birthplace of North Carolina, occupation of Farmer, value of real property $600.. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Stonecypher and James A Smith.2

On 19 January 1852 Amos Hillrecieved $770 from the estate of John Stonecypher.3
