     Samuel Moseley was born on 23 September 1759 at Bute County, North Carolina. Bute County was created 10 Jun 1764 from Granvile County. It became extinct when it was divided on 11 Feb 1779 to create Franklin and Warren Counties. Samuel was probably born in Granvile County but grew up in Bute county..1

Samuel Moseley married Susannah Bledsoe on 12 August 1786 at Granville County, North Carolina.2,3

Samuel Moseley was enumerated during 1830 on the 1830 U. S. census for Franklin County, Georgia as head of family Samuel Mosely. Enumerated in this family were: 1 Free white males 20 to 30 years old, 1 Free white males 70 to 80 years old, 1 Free white females 60 to 70 years old.4

Samuel Moseley died on 25 December 1833 at Franklin County, Georgia, at age 74.5,1
