     John Gaylord was born on 19 February 1858 at Kendall County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Gilbert Gaylord and Mary Ann Cass.1

On 9 August 1870 John Gaylord was enumerated in the household of Gilbert Gaylord on the 1870 U. S. census for Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois as John Gaylord, 12 years old, birthplace of Illinios. Also enumerated in the household were Mary Ann Cass and Clinton Gilbert Gaylord.2

John Gaylord died on 19 February 1915 at age 57.1

John Gaylord was buried at Oswego Cemetery, Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois.3
