     Charles Long was born circa 1866 at Indiana.1 He was the son of Henry Clay Long and Mary G. Ladd.1

S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Charles Long, 6 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Also enumerated in the household were Mary G. Ladd, William Noble Long, Sarah Long, Henry C Long, George Long and John Long.2

On 5 June 1880 Charles Long was enumerated in the household of Henry Clay Long on the 1880 U. S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Charles Long, Son, Single, 14 years old, birthplace of Indiana, occupation of Laborer. Also enumerated in the household were Mary G. Ladd, Sarah Long, George Long and Nancy Long.1
