On 7 June 1870 Sarah Long was enumerated in the household of Henry Clay Long on the 1870 U. S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Sarah E Long, 14 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Also enumerated in the household were Mary G. Ladd, William Noble Long, Henry C Long, George Long, John Long and Charles Long.3
