     Francis M Van Vickle was born circa 1857 at Indiana.1 He was the son of John Jeptha Van Vickle and Jane Camper.1

S. census for Wabash Township, Parke County, Indiana as Francis M Vanvickle, 3 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Also enumerated in the household were Jane Camper, Nancy J Van Vickle, Catharine Van Vickle, Maria Van Vickle, Thomas Van Vickle, Margaret Jane Van Vickle and John Van Vickle.1

Francis M Van Vickle was enumerated on 22 July 1870 as head of household on the 1870 U. S. census for Montezuma, Parke County, Indiana as Marion Vanvickle, 14 years old, birthplace of Indiana, occupation of Farm Laborer.2

S. census for Piersen Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Mayor M Wanbicle, Son, Single, 21 years old, birthplace of Indiana, occupation of Farm Hand.
