On 14 June 1860 Lelia Harris was enumerated in the household of James L Harris on the 1860 U. S. census for Monroe, Missouri as Laura Harris, 4 years old, birthplace of Kentucky Also enumerated in the household were Mary T Chowning, Sallie Harris and Nannie Harris.4

On 27 August 1870 Lelia Harris was enumerated in the household of James L Harris on the 1870 U. S. census for Henry County, Kentucky as Leonna Harris, 14 years old, birthplace of Kentucky Also enumerated in the household were Sallie Harris, Nannie Harris and Mollie Harris.2

On 7 June 1880 Lelia Harris was enumerated in the household of James L Harris on the 1880 U. S. census for Henry County, Kentucky as Lilia Harris, Daughter, Single, 24 years old, birthplace of Kentucky, occupation of House Keeper Also enumerated in the household were Sallie Harris, Mollie Harris and Nancy Perry.5

Lelia Harris married Artemus Joel Smith, son of Melancton Smith and Lucy E Smith, on 26 July 1890 at Port Royal, Henry County, Kentucky.1,6,3
