     Sarah Collins also went by the name of Sallie Collins.1 She was born circa 1812 at Buncombe County, North Carolina.1 She was the daughter of Thompson Collins and Celia Self.1

Sarah Collins married Jarrett Turner circa 1829 at Habersham County, Georgia.1

On 25 October 1850 Sarah Collins was enumerated in the household of Jarrett Turner on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Sarah Turner, 39 years old, birthplace of North Carolina. Could not read or write. Also enumerated in the household were Celia Turner, Nancy Turner, Francis Turner, Elizabeth Turner, Ruth Turner, James Turner, Sarah Turner, Phoebe Turner, Micajah Turner and Olive Turner.2
