On 1 October 1850 Sarah (?) was enumerated in the household of William D Ladd on the 1850 U. S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Sarah Ladd, 36 years old, birthplace of Ohio. Could not read or write. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Ladd, Amanda Ladd, Leonard Ladd and William G Ladd.1
On 31 August 1860 Sarah (?) was enumerated in the household of William D Ladd on the 1860 U. S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Sarah Ladd, 46 years old, birthplace of Ohio. Also enumerated in the household were Leonard Ladd and William G Ladd.2
