Rebecca Ladd was born circa 1818 at Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Noble Ladd and Sarah (?).1

Rebecca Ladd was enumerated on 2 October 1850 as head of household on the 1850 U. S. census for Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana as Rebecca Perkins, 32 years old, birthplace of Ohio. Could not read or write.. Also enumerated in the household were Lousia Perkins, Amanda Perkins, James Ladd and William Ladd.1
Rebecca Ladd married Adam Rains on 29 March 1853 at Vigo County, Indiana.3
