Catherine Twiggs was born on 15 February 1799 at Rutherford County, North Carolina.2,1 She was the daughter of Timothy Twiggs and Joicy Willis.1
Catherine Twiggs married John H Mashburn on 29 October 1821 Mashburn, John H. Twigs, Caty at Burke County, North Carolina.3
On 30 September 1850 Catherine Twiggs was enumerated in the household of John H Mashburn on the 1850 U. S. census for District 31, Forsyth County, Georgia as Catharine Mashburn, 47 years old, birthplace of North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household were John W Mashburn, Jane K Mashburn, Robert F Mashburn, Joicy Willis and David W Twiggs.4
Catherine Twiggs died on 20 April 1869 at Forsyth County, Georgia, at age 70.2
