     Henry Emmons Ramsdell was born on 28 August 1837 at Milford, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of John Ramsdell and Taseah Theresa Moore.1

Henry Emmons Ramsdell married Sophia Flint, daughter of Alvah Flint and Elizabeth Cross, on 3 April 1860 at Tama County, Iowa.1,2

Henry Emmons Ramsdell was enumerated on 14 July 1870 as head of household on the 1870 U. S. census for Richland Township, Tama County, Iowa as Henry E Ramsdale, 32 years old, birthplace of New Hampshire, occupation of Farmer, value of real property $4200, value of personal property $920. Enumerated as 21 Year or older male citizen.. Also enumerated in the household were Sophia Flint, William Ramsdell and Elizabeth Cross.3

Henry Emmons Ramsdell died on 22 December 1911 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at age 74.4
