     Henry Nelson was born on 18 September 1826 at Morland, Westmorland, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Nelson and Elizabeth Thompson.3,4 Henry Nelson was christened on 12 November 1826 at Morland, Westmorland.2

Henry Nelson married Sarah Ann Richmond on 16 May 1848 at Prob., Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois.1

Henry Nelson was enumerated on 30 August 1850 as head of household on the 1850 U. S. census for Pottawattamie County, Iowa as Henry Nelson, 25 years old, birthplace of England, occupation of Laborer. Also enumerated in the household were Elizabeth Thompson, Sarah Ann Richmond and Jane Nelson.5

Henry Nelson was enumerated on 13 September 1860 as head of household on the 1860 U. S. census for Provo, Utah County, Utah as Hy Nelson, 34 years old, birthplace of England, occupation of Fisherman, value of real property $100, value of personal property $300. Also enumerated in the household were Sarah Ann Richmond, Henry Thomas Nelson, Elizabeth Ann Nelson, Jesse Richmond Nelson, William Richard Nelson, Wiford Nelson and Sarah Alice Nelson.6

Henry Nelson died on 12 September 1897 at Buysville, Wasatch County, Utah, at age 70.1

Henry Nelson was buried on 14 September 1897 at Heber City, Wasatch, Utah.7
