On 19 June 1860 Joseph Pierson was enumerated in the household of William Mitchel Pierson on the 1860 U. S. census for Riely Township, Butler County, Ohio as Jos. S Pearson, 17 years old, birthplace of Ohio Also enumerated in the household were Leah Pierson, Pioneer Pierson, Jacob Pierson, Martha E Pierson, Amanda M Pierson and Jackson Garner.2
