Cynthia Sutherland was born circa 1842 at Indiana.1 She was the daughter of Jane Sutherland.1
On 5 September 1850 Cynthia Sutherland was enumerated in the household of E H Sutton on the 1850 U. S. census for Perry township, Miami County, Ohio as Cynthia Sutherland, 8 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Attended school within the year. Also enumerated in the household were Laura (?), Azra? Sutton, Maria Sutton, Jane Sutherland, Ezra Ash and Daniel Bearss Thurston.1
