Irvin Herrendeen was born in 1846 at Indiana.2 He was the son of Nathan Herrendeen and Eunice Thurston.1
On 26 September 1850 Irvin Herrendeen was enumerated in the household of Nathan Herrendeen on the 1850 U. S. census for Pleasant Township, Wabash County, Indiana as Irwin Herindeen, 4 years old, birthplace of Indiana. Also enumerated in the household were Eunice Thurston, Orrison Herrendeen, Martha Herrendeen, Hulda Herrendeen, Norton Herrendeen and Samuel Herrendeen.2
