     Lewis Latham was baptized on 31 October 1574 at St. Peter's Church, Lowick, Northamptonshire, England.3,4 He was the son of Oliver Latham.5

In 1611 at Elstow, Bedfordshire, England, Lewis Latham leased a home called The Chantry House from a George Sands.7

Lewis Latham was a member of household of Prince Henry, King James's son. as a falconer. He received slightly more the 44 pounds in wages as a servant of Prince Henry. in 1612.8,9

On 6 November 1612 Lewis Latham's employer Prince Henry died.8

On 7 December 1612 at Westminister Abbey, Middlesex, England, Lewis Latham most likely participated in the funeral of Prince Henry. He was given 4 yards of cloth for the event.8

On 6 February 1615 Lewis Latham was formally appointed as a falconer to Prince Charles at a wage of 40 pounds per year.10

On 20 November 1620 at Elstow, Bedfordshire, England, Lewis Latham obtained a Crown lease for The Chantry House when George Sands was convicted for a felony and his property confiscated by the Crown.12

On 20 May 1625 at Westminister Abbey, Middlesex, England, Lewis Latham no doubt participated in the funeral of James I who had died on 27 March 1625. He was given 4 yards of cloth on this occasion as well.8

On 15 July 1625 Lewis Latham was appointed as under falconer to King Charles I at the same wage he was payed when the king was Prince of Wales.8

Lewis Latham was Appointed Sergeant Falconer to King Charles I with an annual salary of 65 pounds on 13 September 1627.13,14

Lewis Latham wrote a will on 6 May 1653 at Elveston, Bedfordshire, England, executors Winifred Latham, witnesses Robert Ferneld, Jane Farnell and Susanna Farnell. He made the following bequests.15
Gave to each of his sons Henry Latham and John Latham 12 pence if it was demanded.15
Gave to each of his daughters Ann Segar, Frances Clarke, Katherine Garnett, Elizabeth Bibbiie and Ellen Sherrinham 12 pence if it was demanded.15
Gave to Wintfred Downes one bedsteade with furniture threreto belonging.15
Gave to his loving wife Winifred Latham all the rest of his goods, chattles, and cattle whatsoever.15


Lewis Latham was buried on 15 May 1655 at Elstow, Bedfordshire, England, GE GM .16,5

His will was proved on 1 September 1655 at London, Middlesex, England.15
