Cynthia Callaway was born circa 1859 at Missouri.1 She was the daughter of Parham Callaway and Nancy Kirt.1
On 29 June 1870 Cynthia Callaway was enumerated in the household of Nancy Kirt on the 1870 U. S. census for Marshfield Post Office, Ozark Township, Webster County, Missouri as Cynthia Callaway, 11 years old, birthplace of Missouri, occupation of At home. Attended school within the year. Could not write. Also enumerated in the household were James P Callaway, Sarah S Callaway, Rogina Callaway, Eve Callaway and Heneretta Callaway.1
