     William Willis wrote a will on 14 April 1782 at Rutherford County, North Carolina, executors William Willis. He made the following bequests.1
1a to Elizabeth Hill during her natural life, the plantation, bounded by the River and Cabin Branch, on which he then lived.1
1b.to his grandson Authur Buckhanen, son of his daughter Elizabeth Buckhanen, wife of James Buckhanen, after the death of Elizabeth Hill the plantation given to her.1
2. to his grandson William Willis, son of Jacob Willis deceased, all the land on that side of the River where his mother Elizabeth Willis lived.1
3.. to his grandson Henry Willis, son of William Willis, all the remaining land in the tract divided between Elizabeth Hill abd William Willis as well as the tract of land joining on Hintons Creek.1
4. to his son William Willis one fourth of the moveable Estate.1
5. to his daughter Elizabeth Buckhanen one fourth of the moveable Estate.1
6. to the children of Jacob Willis one fourth of the moveable Estate.1
7a. to Elizabeth Hill one fourth of the moveable Estate during her natural life.1
7b. to his three children or their heirs after the death of Elizabeth Hill the one fourth of the moveable Estate given to her.1
