     Celia Collins was born circa 1826 at Habersham County, Georgia.2 She was the daughter of Thompson Collins and Celia Self.2

Celia Collins married James West on 31 December 1842 at Union County, Georgia.1

On 21 October 1850 Celia Collins was enumerated in the household of James West on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Celia West, 23 years old, birthplace of Georgia. Could not read or write. Also enumerated in the household were William West, John West, Soloman West and Thompson West.3
