     Thompson Collins also went by the name of Thompie.1 He was born in November 1818 at Buncombe County, North Carolina.1 He was the son of Thompson Collins and Celia Self.1

Thompson Collins married Sarah Ingram circa 1839.2

Thompson Collins was enumerated on 25 October 1850 as head of household on the 1850 U. S. census for 85th District, Union County, Georgia as Thompson Collins Jr, 31 years old, birthplace of North Carolina, occupation of Farmer.. Also enumerated in the household were Sarah Ingram, Malinda Ingram and Nancy Ingram.3
