     James Frederick Huscroft was born on 1 August 1869 at Missouri. The 1901 Census of Canada lists Jame's birth year as 1870, however the US census of 1870 clearly indicates he was born in 1869.2,1,3 He was the son of William Roger Huscroft and Jane Fisher.1

On 8 June 1870 James Frederick Huscroft was enumerated in the household of William Roger Huscroft on the 1870 U. S. census for Washington Township, De Kalb County, Missouri as James Huscroft, 10/12 years old, birthplace of Missouri, born in Aug of Census year. Father was foreign born. Mother was foreign born. Also enumerated in the household were Jane Fisher, Emma J Huscroft, William Roger Huscroft, Mary Elizabeth Huscroft and George Joseph Huscroft.1

About 6 April 1901 James Frederick Huscroft was enumerated with William Roger Huscroft on the 1901 census of Canada for Nelson Riding, British Columbia as James F Huscroft, son, age 30, born on 1 Aug 1870 in U.S., immigratied to Canada in 1891 naturalized 1894, Roman Catholic, occupation Rly Laborer.3

James Frederick Huscroft died on 4 March 1944 at Camp Lister, British Columbia, at age 74.2
