     Benajah Beardsley also went by the name of Najah.2 He was born on 20 July 1776.1 He was the son of Gideon Beardsley and Mary Bearss.1

Benajah Beardsley married Rachel Worden on 11 April 1796.1

Najah Beardsley and Joshua B Bearss on 25 September 1797 obtained interest in property located in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut by quitclaim deed from John Foot for $35. The property described as a tailor shop at the upper end of Town Street, occupied by John Foot, standing on land owned by Rebeckah Cooke (wife to Samuel Cooke).2

Najah Beardsley on 9 January 1798 obtained interest in property located in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut by quitclaim deed from Joshua Baker Bearss for $40. The property described as a tailor shop nearly opposite Maj Justus Barnum's store, and on the northerly part of Rebeccah Cooke & Samuel Cooke Homelot (owned in fee by Rebeccah) being the shop formerly owned by Capt John Foot.3

Benajah Beardsley died on 6 October 1844 at Crystal Lake, Illinois, at age 68.1
