     Mary Josephine Hiatt was born on 21 September 1861.1 She was the daughter of J W Hiatt Hiatt and Martha Gray.2

Mary Josephine Hiatt married William J Flint, son of Jeduthan C Flint and Abigail E Rector, on 15 March 1881 at Columbia, Tama County, Iowa.1,2

On 8 June 1900 Mary Josephine Hiatt was enumerated in the household of William J Flint on the 1900 U. S. census for Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa as Mary J Flint, 37 years old, Wife, Married for 19 years, gave birth to 5 children, number of children still living 4, Born Sept 1862 in Iowa. Could read. Could write. Could speak English. Father born in Ohio. Mother born in Ohio. Also enumerated in the household were Florence Lucille Flint, Harold Warner Flint, Walter Flyod Flint and Marjorie Josephine Flint.3

Mary Josephine Hiatt died on 30 March 1904 at age 42.1
